Recently we attended our leak detection/cctv inspection this time at an address in Coopers Plains. This property had structural movement in the walls and ceilings and was inspected by a structural engineer. We conducted a water supply test which was secure. We then examined all stormwater drains via the downpipes before examining the sewer drain. Our client indicated her ensuite toilet was continuing backing up. We removed the toilet and located a tree root intrusion in the line. We located and marked the damaged drain on the surface including identifying the depth at 0.70 metres. There were a number of issues with the stormwater drains all caused by tree root intrusion. We compiled a report, provided our client with a usb drive of the drains inspected as well a walk through of the areas of concern. We gave our client some recommendations of the rectifications options available.
