We attended to a bathroom leak detection test at Gordon Park on behalf of one of our insurance company clients. The insured had lodged a claim for a leaking upstairs shower which caused water to be dripping through a downlight immediately below. We conducted a series of tests which include water meter, pressure test, shower breach test, drain test, shower base flood dye test and simulated shower test. We determined the cause of the leak was due to water tracking behind the shower mixer into the wall cavity then onto the ceiling below. We completed a report back to the insurance company which included rectification options.
