We then attended our second bathroom leak detection this time in Ashgrove. Our client reported water coming into their main bedroom after using the ensuite shower . Our client also felt their ensuite toilet was leaking. We conducted a water meter and pressure test, then a shower breach test, drain test and simulated shower test before identifying a crack in the grout on the bottom of the shower wall. We dye tested this area and observed dye being drawn into the crack. A short time later dye coloured water was seen escaping from the wall cavity. We siliconed the crack in the grout

We then removed the toilet to identify a leaking pan collar which was leaking water when the toilet the flushed. We also noted a lack of grout which was allowing water to escape into the wall cavity. 
We gave our client the details of the replacement part and recommended he engage a local plumber to re fit the toilet after the gap in the tiles was siliconed over. We then gave our client some options going forward if this did not resolve the issue.
