05 Feb Hydrostatic valve replaced in a fibreglass swimming pool in Birkdale
This morning we attended to replace a hydrostatic valve in a fibreglass swimming pool in Birkdale.
Our client had the pool installed in 1993 and had not changed the valve. Hydrostatic valves should be checked and or replaced every 5-7 years.
We entered the pool and noted the drain full of debris, after clearing the drain, we dye tested and removed the dome shaped hydrostatic valve noting the bottom o-ring missing.
We installed a new hydrostatic valve before re dye testing. We checked the main drain, return jets, skimmer box and pump filtration system.
