This morning we attended to a leaking fibreglass swimming and a concealed water leak in Kelvin Grove.

We conducted a series of test in the fibreglass poor which included dye and pressure testing of in floor pool cleaning systems. Dye testing of skimmer box and face, isolating disused solar suction provisions. We removed both light fittings and brackets and located one of the bracket screw holes was leaking and drawing dye. We puttied over the hole and refitted the light bracket and fitting.

We then conducted a water meter test which identified a leak of around 250 litres per day, after isolating all services, we conducted a pressure test which failed. We then introduced tracer gas to locate failed 25mm poly pipe in the garden bed. A garden edge spike had penetrated the water pipe.
Our licensed plumber completed the repair before we tested the repair then the whole line to find it secure. We backfilled and cleaned the site.

It is not often you get a swimming pool and a concealed water leak at the same time.
