This morning we  attended to reported leaking ensuite shower in Rochedale

Our client was seeing wetness on plaster ceiling below the shower base. We obtained measurements of the ensuite upstairs and compared it to the stained plaster ceiling.

We conducted a series of tests which included a inspection under the shower base, a pressure test on the water supply, a shower breach test.

A drain test, simulated shower test before finally conducted a shower base dye flood test. We inspected the ceiling cavity.

The shower base has failed, we noted clear water and coloured dye water escaping into the adjoining hallway after we conducted our shower base dye flood test.

We discussed our findings with our client with recommendations on the way forward.
