This morning we attended to a reported concealed water leak in Victoria Point. A water meter test revealed a leak of 1440 litres per day. A pressure test failed. After tracing the line we introduced a combination of compressed air and tracer gas and identified the likely leak location under the concrete driveway. We drilled a number of holes to hone in on the leak site. We then used a quick cut concrete saw to remove a section of concrete. We then excavated to locate a failed 25mm poly pipe wedged between two sewer drains.
Our licenced plumber completed the repair before we tested the repair then the whole line to find it now secure.
We backfilled with sand before reinstating the concrete section then cleaned the site.
