This morning we attended to a reported concealed water leak in Ormeau, we conducted a water meter and identified a leak of 14,400 litres per day or 1 litre every 6 seconds. We isolated all services before tracing the line and introducing a combination of compressed air and tracer gas before locating the likely leak source at the side of house close to an outside tap. We commenced excavations before coming to a depth of 1.25 metres without yet locating the water pipe. Given the circumstances we contacted our property manager client and suggested it would more cost effective to engage a plumber with a small excavator to excavate the site and complete the repair. We sent through a video to our client.
