28 Mar Swimming pool leak detection & repair in Indooroopilly
This morning we attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Indooroopilly, our client advised she was losing around 1cm per day. We first checked the multi port valve on the sand filter whilst under load and it was leaking to waste, this meant when the pump was running, water was running into the waste pipe effectively emptying the pool. We installed an in line shut off valve to resolve the issue. We then used a hydrophone microphone to test the main drain/hydrostatic valve, lights x2 , heat pump suction and return jets, normal return jets and skimmer box. We then entered the pool and dye test the aforementioned before replacing the hydrostatic valve as our client advised it had never been changed. Manufactures advise hydrostatic valves should be replaced after 5-7 years. We phoned and briefed our client before sending through a video/image of the works performed.
