27 Mar Pre purchase swimming pool inspection and repair in Victoria Point
Yesterday we attended to vinyl lined swimming pool pre purchase inspection in Victoria Point we first conducted a physical examination of the pool before completing the following tests, pump filtration testing under load which was leaking, pressure testing all possible concealed plumbing. Using a hydrophone microphone checking the penetrations for leaks over the skimmer box, return jets x 3, spa jets x 2, 2 additional jets and light. We then used our Leaktrac 2400 to test the integrity of the vinyl liner , noting 14 previous puttied holes were noted upon arrival. We identified two of these holes were leaking. Finally an in pool inspection of the walls and floor using dive tanks and weight belts checking the slate waterline tiles and steps. We dye tested and reputtied the 2 x leaks on the vinyl floor. We did note some issues with the pool coping. We phoned our client briefing him recommending two contractor attend and provide quotes for the the works required before completing a written report including images within 24 hours. The pool’s vinyl liner is at its end of life and should be replaced.
