We then returned to a reported leaking swimming pool in Rochedale , we had previously attended the property to conduct some testing which identified a leaking suction line. Our client opted to conduct some excavations himself removing some concrete and lawn area to provide access under the skimmer box. We plugged the skimmer box and removed the water to locate a failed 50mm 90degree bend directly under the skimmer box, We removed the damaged section and contacted our client who was going to to drop the water level in the pool to be under the skimmer box allowing our licensed plumber to attend and complete the repair. Our licensed plumber returned and completed the plumbing repair reconfiguring the pipework.
Update we returned this afternoon as the client was concerned about another possible leak. We pressure tested the suction line since the repair which held pressure and is now secure. We inspected inside the skimmer box and noted a crack around the upper edge of the skimmer box. We dye tested and confirmed the leak site. We applied an epoxy putty bead to the skimmer box which will resolve the issue.
