On Thursday we attended to a concealed water leak in Robertson, a water meter test revealed a leak of 2700 litres per day. A pressure test failed, After tracing the line, we introduced compressed air located the general vicinity of the leak to be under the tiled patio area at the rear of the house. With the owners permission, we drilled a number of pilot holes in the grout line before we introduced tracer gas to reveal a strong gas reading at the location.
We discussed our findings with our client.

This morning we returned to remove two tiles with a quick cut concrete saw , we then excavated to locate a failed 25 mm poly pipe at our nominated location. Our licensed plumber completed the repair before we tested the repair, then the whole line to find it secure. We backfilled the pipe with sand before reinstating the tiled section and cleaning up afterwards.
