This morning we attended to a reported in-ground concrete pool leak in Shailer Park, our client had another contractor out the week prior. We attended and checked the multi-port valve on the sand filter before pressure testing the return line to find it not secure. After tracing the line, we introduced a combination of air and water which took us to the vicinity of the leak close to the spa bath. We carefully excavated through the palm tree roots to locate a split in the return pipe. We showed our client our findings. We then discussed the options going forward and we agreed to plug the 2 return jets and re run the return water back into the pool via the spa jets. This is by far the most cost effective way to resolve the leak.
