06 Aug Concealed water leak detection and repair in Streeton
Yesterday we attended to a house leak in Streeton, a water meter test revealed a leak of 669 litres per day. A pressure test failed, After tracing the line, we introduced compressed air and immediately identified the likely leak location under the concrete driveway. We quoted for the repair and then returned this afternoon to remove a section of the driveway in one piece using a concrete saw. We then located the leak immediately below being a failed copper/poly joiner. Our licensed plumber completed the repair before we tested the repair then the entire line to find it now secure. We backfilled the site with sand before replacing the section of concrete to reduce costs for our client. We provided our client with a written report and a link to her water provider to make a claim for some of the water charges caused by a concealed leak.
