This morning we attended to a house leak in Murumba Downs, a water meter test revealed a leak of 864 litres per day. A pressure test failed. We then used a combination of compressed air and tracer gas to locate the general vicinity of the leak to be under a pebblecrete path. We obtained permission and drilled a number of pilot holes before re introducing compressed air, tracer gas and water to hone in on the leak location.
After discussing options with our client and quoted for the repair using a concrete saw we removed a 500 mm x 500 mm section of concrete to locate a failed 25mm poly pipe located directly below, close by to a previous repair completed by another plumber prior to the path being laid.
Our licensed plumber completed the repair before we tested the repair, then the entire line to find it now secure.
We completed and forwarded a concealed leak application to our client and provided a written report of the works performed.
