Update to swimming pool leak detection & repair in Chapel Hill

On Tuesday afternoon we attended to a swimming pool leak in Chapel Hill , our client’s neighbour recommended our services as we conducted a pre purchase pool inspection for him in 2018. We tested the 5 way valve then pressure tested the suction line to find it secure. We then pressure tested the return line which did not hold pressure.

We located the leak being a failed 40 mm pressure pipe under pavers directly behind a return jet. We then entered the pool to test the main drain and hydrostatic valve before dye testing the skimmer box, return jets before conducting a physical examination of the pools wall and floor. We have quoted for the repair which our client has accepted and will arrange a suitable time to return to complete the repair.

UPDATE This morning we re attended to complete the repair which was a damaged 40mm pressure pipe (90degree bend) behind the return jet. Our licensed plumber replaced the damaged section before retesting the line to find it secure. We showed our client the completed repair before backfilling and re instating the pavers. As our client was elderly we gave him a pensioner discount
