This afternoon we attended to a swimming pool leak in Murrarie. We tested the 5 way valve on the sand filter before pressure testing all the concealed plumbing namely the suction, return, solar in and solar out lines. We noted the solar out line was not secure. Under air pressure we could see air escaping from under the concrete where the solar pipework connects to the roof. We then hydrophoned and dye tested the skimmer box, return jets, lights, solar in and out jets, main drain incl hydrostatic valve before conducting an in pool inspection of the pebblecrete walls and floors looking for any imperfections. Our client was on site through out the inspection. We noted a light to be leaking and reputtied the cable. We provided a plug to close off the solar jet to resolve the leak. Our client will get us to return to excavate and repair the failed solar line.
