10 Jan House leak detection – Morningside
On Monday we were called to a house leak in Morningside by our client who was looking after her 99 year old mothers home.
Water was pooling under the house and the water meter was moving.
Our licensed plumber who was close by attended and accessed under the home to find a badly rusted galvanised water pipe.
The house was some 70 years old and though gal pipe can be repaired , our experience has been it is in the clients best interest to replace the lead in rather than attempting to repair a rusted pipe.
We liaised with our client discussing our findings.
We made a call to another contractor who specialises in this type and work and provided his details to our client for a quote to be provided.
All of this was completed with no charge to our client.
