20 Dec Vinyl swimming pool leak detection & repair – Bray park
This morning we attended to a vinyl swimming pool leak detection in Bray Park. We had been at our clients earlier in the month to locate a concealed water supply leak at the property. We pressure tested the concealed plumbing including the suction and return lines to find them both secure.
We then used a hydrophone microphone testing the skimmer, light return jets x 3 listening for the sounds of water escaping. We then used our Leak Trac 2400 which tests the integrity of the vinyl liner.
The Leak trac took us to a likely leak source on the seam of the vinyl. We entered the pool and conducted a dye test at that location to see dye escaping into a 10mm gash in the vinyl. We patched over the hole and re dye tested the area to find it now secure.
We then dye tested all the above mentioned parts of the pool including including removing the light fitting and dye testing where the electrical cable penetrates the wall.
Our client was on site through out and was updated as we went along. We offered our client a discount for being a repeat customer
