This morning we attended to a swimming pool leak in Hendra , our client having only recently paid for a pool renovation discovered her pool to be leaking.

We suggested our client conduct a bucket test to rule out evaporation as the cause of water loss.

Our client completed the test and and then booked us to attend, satisfied there was a leak.

We attended and tested the 5 way valve, pressure tested the suction and return plumbing to find them both secure.

We then tested a solar line which was NOT secure. Under pressure air and water was seen escaping behind the jet in between the pool coping and the concrete path.

We then used our hydrophone microphone and tested the main drain, skimmer box and return jets.

We then entered the pool and dye tested all the above mentioned penetrations.

Finally a physical examination of the pools floor and walls looking for imperfections.

Given this was a solar single line we suggested to simply plug the line which would stop the leak.

We provided a temporary plug until they could source one from their local pool shop.
