This morning we attended to a house leak in Annerley, a water meter test revealed a leak of 720 litres per day. A pressure test failed to hold pressure. We then traced the line and introduced compressed air and located the leak in the front lawn close to the side fence. Our client advised the lawn was noticeably greener in the general area. We excavated to locate a failed 25mm poly pipe. We replaced the damaged section, re tested the line to find it now secure. Our client did contact their house insurer which was raised in our initial call, they advised that their insurance company will cover the leak detection fee. We provided an itemised invoice and then provided them a link to make a claim through their water provider for some of the water charges caused by a concealed leak.
